Services Committee Meeting dated 8 December 2015 and approve the second round of
Community Grants – Projects recommendations for the financial year 2015/16 as set out in
Attachment 1 to the report.

REPORT
Purpose

The purpose of this report is for Council to consider and endorse the second round of Community
Grants recommendations for the 2015/2016 financial year as set out in Attachment 1 to this report.

Background

 A revised Community Grants Policy was endorsed January 2015
 2015/16 Community Grants Projects Round One (held Feb-Mar 2015) was advertised,
   assessed and endorsed by Council
 Two Out-of-Round Community Grants Projects have been approved
 The second round of the Community Grants Project was advertised in local media and through
community networks with a closing date of 30 September 2015. A total of 29 applications were
   received seeking $276,749
 Applications were then checked for eligibility against the Community Grants policy and
   guidelines
 Applications were then reviewed and commented on by technical staff with appropriate
   expertise
 All applications and staff comments were then discussed and assessed by the grants
assessment panel which consisted of the CEO, the Director Community Services and the
   Community Development Coordinator

As per the Noosa Council Community Grants Policy, all assessors recognised and declared any
perceived or actual conflict of interest and did not debate or were involved in any discussions on
matters relating to that application.
