4.10     Noosa Junction Streetscape Levy
4.10.1   Basis of Rate
Special rates and charges may be levied under Section 94(1) (b) (i) of the Local Government Act
2009.
4.10.2   Rate to Apply
The applicable annual rate for the financial year ending 30 June 2020 shall be 0.1135 cents in the
dollar of rateable valuation for all rateable properties within the benefited area.
4.10.3   Land to which the charge applies
The land delineated on the maps in Appendix 10, including lots created pursuant to the Body
Corporate and Community Management Act 1997, Mixed Use Development Act 1993 or similar
strata title legislation.
4.10.4   Service, facility or activity
The service, facility or activity for which the charge is levied is described in Appendix 10.
4.10.5   Basis of Charge Calculation
Council considers that the rateable land described above derives a special benefit from the service.
4.10.6   Overall Plan
The Noosa Junction Streetscape Overall Plan is included as Appendix 10.
4.10.7   Discounts
An early payment discount as shown in section 2.3 and Council pensioner concessions as shown in
section 2.4 shall not be applied to this charge.
4.10.8   Notices
Section 2.1 of this revenue statement sets out the Council billing frequency and method that will be
applied to this charge.
