Despite the significant improvements inherent in “version three” of the proposal,
the design team and the ecological experts identified further potential gains in
tree retention with some minor adjustments to the design. The realignment of
the parking area has protected more koala food trees and is augmented by
shifting cabin locations to maximise tree retention (koala food and habitat trees)
resulting in the current proposal (Figure 5).
