I wish to express my support for the proposed changes at 5 Opal Street, Cooroy.
The venue already plays an important role in our community and these changes will help it operate more smoothly and in a more neighbour friendly way.
Relocating the dining and smoking areas away from homes is a considerate step, and I understand that acoustic testing has confirmed it meets all requirements. What stands out to me is that the space continues to be used by local bowlers and provides a relaxed, family-oriented setting.
That’s something we need to protect and encourage in a town like Cooroy.
I think the proposed improvements are practical and respectful, and I believe they’ll help ensure the site remains an asset to the community well into the future.
