Re: Noosa Springs Boutique Hotel – Development Application

On behalf of Tourism Noosa, this letter of support serves as our submission with regard to the proposed
development application to Noosa Council for the Noosa Springs Boutique Hotel.

When complete this significant development project will be a welcome addition to Noosa’s product offering,
providing a luxury boutique hotel that will assist in maintaining awareness of Noosa as one of Australia's
most desirable destinations for domestic and international visitors. The development will provide a significant
uplift in professional accommodation standards and the quality of customer service needed to compete at a
global level.

This development is especially important as we look to rebuild our key international markets. International
visitors which are vital to the economy as they spend more and stay longer when in region. The commitment
demonstrated by the developers to appoint a prestigious, international five star hotel operator to manage the
hotel is particularly welcomed and will help strengthen Noosa's appeal to attract international and interstate
visitors to the region, boosting the local economy.

The importance of having new and enhanced product, particularly accommodation in our region should not
go unacknowledged. The Noosa Springs Boutique Hotel will be the first 5 star hotel development in the region
in over 3 decades, and the demand for a high quality hotel accommodation to attract high yielding visitors is
critical. The development will be equally appealing to the corporate traveller - another important, high-value
market that typically visits mid-week. This aligns with Tourism Noosa’s Destination Strategy for driving high-
yielding tourism to our region.

Tourism Noosa is excited by the opportunities that this project offers, through the construction phase and
beyond. This significant project will generate employment and ongoing economic activity for the Noosa
business and tourism community and provide a boutique hotel experience that is genuinely needed to
supplement our existing product offering.
