Better Understanding the “No” response:

An analysis of the reasons for those who responded ‘No’ can be categorised into two groups: those with legitimate town
planning concerns and others whose concerns only related to a lifestyle concern.

We regard lifestyle complaints as concerns to be addressed by GH properties, and we have taken steps to do so. However,
we do not consider these concerns to be grounds for council to refuse the development application. Many of these issues
can be mitigated, or eliminated, by providing further information. We have provided further details directly to members
and residents through a widely distributed newsletter.

For concerns of respondents who raised town planning issues, we want to emphasize that all of their concerns have been
thoroughly addressed in the expert reports of GH Properties and peer reviewed by the Council experts. We are confident
that those town planning concerns, subject to specified conditions, do not constitute sufficient grounds to refuse the
application.
