I would like to strongly OBJECT to the proposed expansion of the existing Noosa Civic Shopping complex.
My primary reason for this objection is the unnecessary expansion of retail space due to the fact that there are empty shops in the existing complex.
I am also appalled that pristine bushland will be demolished when Noosa professes to be a 'Green Shire'.
If extra retail space is required, which I doubt, at least put the facility where there is already an unused building eg: ex Bunnings site.
The existing complex is already an 'eyesore' with very little integration into the environment.  We DO NOT need more retail space!!
I hope that you seriously reconsider this proposal and say NO to the expansion.
