I have been preparing bushfire risk assessments and bushfire risk management plans since 2005.
My skills, experience and qualifications include expertise in preparing both deemed to satisfy solutions
prepared against the requirements of Australian Standard AS3959 Construction of Buildings in Bushfire
Prone Areas and alternate solutions prepared against the bushfire performance criteria of the National
Construction Code of Australia, Queensland State Planning Policy Guideline 2017, A new methodology for
State-wide mapping of bushfire prone areas in Queensland and the protocols is various Council Bushfire
Planning Scheme Policies.
Relevant qualifications include:
     Master of Environmental Management (with Distinction)
     Graduate Diploma in Design for Bushfire Prone Areas
     Diploma in Community Natural Resource Management
     Certificate IV Applied Environmental Management
I have also completed the rigorous Fire Protection Association of Australia Bushfire Planning and Design
Accredited Practitioner Certification Program (includes alternate solutions) to be awarded:
        FPAA Accredited Practitioner Level 3 in Bushfire Planning and Design.

        satisfy and alternate solutions)
     20 years experience in bush fire fighting
     18 years experience in bushfire ecology (includes fire and biodiversity monitoring and ecological
        fire management plans for conservation areas)
     19 years experience in natural resource management, ecology, ecological restoration,
        environmental management planning etc
