OVERVIEW
BUILDING INVESTMENT OVERVIEW
The value of non-residential building approvals on the Sunshine Coast weakened in the June Quarter 2004
to be at $25.1 million, due to a contraction in the Caloundra City and Noosa Shire markets over the quarter.
Driven by the significant reduction in the three months to June, the value of non-residential building
approvals in was also lower when compared to the June Quarter 2003. Looking ahead, rising interest rates
are expected to somewhat dampen investor sentiment.
