RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Director Executive Services to the Services & Organisation
Committee Meeting dated 12 December 2017 and:
A.                       Note the changes made to the organisational structure and position establishment since 1
                         July 2017; and
B.                       Approve the changes which will result in an increase in the permanent position
                         establishment of the organisation (as outlined in Attachment 2 to the report).



REPORT
The purpose of this report is to highlight changes which have occurred to the organisational
structure and position establishment since 1 July 2017 and to also seek Council’s approval to
increase the number of permanent full-time equivalent positions (FTE) of the Corporate Services
Department.

Any permanent increase in the approved establishment must be approved by Council and
adequate funding must be provided for within the budget.

The organisational structure was approved at Council’s Special Budget Meeting of 29 June 2017
together with the 2017/18 Operational Plan and Budget. The number of permanent FTE positions
within the organisational structure was identified at 359.47, made up of:
    Corporate Services - 40.6 FTE;
    Community Services - 127.52 FTE;
    Environment and Sustainable Development – 44 FTE;
    Executive Services - 25.55 FTE;
    Infrastructure Services - 117.8 FTE; and
    CEO’s Office – 4 FTE
