EVACUATION LOCATION In the event of a bushfire, there are no suitable large, cleared areas on the site to host mass gatherings of people and or vehicles. Therefore, where an evacuation is triggered, the site is to be completely evacuated in a manner similar to a residential area with residents and staff to evacuate towards suitable nominated safe areas as directed by QFES and/ or the QLD Police. In the event of a pending bushfire, the site office/manager is to ensure all occupants, staff and visitors have evacuated the site with a record of such made in a residents and visitors register, prior to exiting the site. 6. TRANSPORTATION Residents, visitors and staff personal vehicles are to be used should an onsite evacuation be required. Road access for emergency evacuation is to be from the main entry exit along the north-western boundary of the site. 7. EVACUATION ROUTES The available evacuation routes from the site through the local landscape are flanked by a mosaic of fuel laden bushland and cleared urban areas host to low fuel loads. The risk of entrapment in the event of a wildfire is therefore real and strategic selection of the most suitable evacuation route during a bushfire event will be a critical decision. The available main road evacuation routes from the site are identified in Plate 2 and direct people either North towards Noosa Heads township, or East towards Sunshine Beach township, or West towards Noosaville township. The available evacuation routes comprise of either: Head north along Cooyar Street then either: © 2022 3
