The amended plans show a waste room located within the ground floor and lower level floor. The waste room consists of 1100L bulk bins as per the Council's recommendations for on-site waste collection via the Council rear-lift waste collection vehicle i.e. 10.2m long truck as per Noosa Plan. A bin tug will be used to bring the bins up to the ground floor collection, with the bins brough up to the ground floor bin storage area on collection day. There is sufficient space for all bins to be stored within this area. The two doors to the bin collection area will be opened on collection day to allow for easy bin retrieval. The swept path assessment demonstrates that the 10.2m long waste truck can access the site, turn around utilising the accessway, prop within the accessway for waste collection, and depart the site in a forward direction. Accordingly, the proposed waste collection is considered appropriate. 6. Conclusion The proposal seeks to construct a warehouse development at 58 Rene Street in Noosaville. Based on the preceding assessment, it is considered the development is appropriate for the following reasons: — The proposed development has a statutory car parking requirement to provide 32 on- site car spaces. The development has provision for 32 car spaces, and therefore meets the statutory car parking requirement and is considered satisfactory. — The swept path assessment demonstrates that access and circulation to/from and within the site are satisfactory and that all vehicles will be able to enter/exit the site ina forward direction. The assessment also indicates that the 6.4m long SRV and a 10.2m long waste truck are able to access (ingress and egress) the site in a suitable manner via the proposed crossover connecting to/from Rene Street. Overall, based on the assessment undertaken above, the proposed warehouse development is considered to be acceptable from a traffic engineering perspective and is not expected to create adverse traffic or parking impacts in the precinct.
