1    INTRODUCTION

Acoustic Logic Consultancy (ALC) have been engaged to conduct noise monitoring to establish the existing
acoustic environment for proposed residential subdivision located Hofmann Drive, Noosaville and adjacent
to Noosa Civic shopping centre.

The purpose of this assessment is to establish the following:

    •   General acoustic environment of site location.
    •   Identifying main surrounding noise sources:
        • Noosa Civic Shopping Centre Loading Docks
        • Traffic Noise

The following sections of the report details the above. The intent of the report is not to provide detailed
design advice on how to mitigate the surrounding noise sources. Further analysis is required during next
phase, nominally prior to BA and Council approval of specific development, once the site plans and
apartment/house layouts are known to ensure the relevant noise limits can be met.
