PLANNING & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 19 APRIL 2016
Figure 6 – Preliminary Landscaping Plan Extract
Overlay Provisions
The site is within a Low Potential Acid Sulphate Soils Area, being approximately 9.0m AHD at its
lowest level. Given the extensive earthworks required for the underground fuel storage tanks,
conditions are recommended requiring further soil assessment and the implementation of an acid
sulphate soils management plan for the site, if necessary, prior to commencement of any
earthworks.
3.4. Primary Assessment Issues
Health Impacts & Sensitive Adjacent Land Uses
The development raises concerns due to its location beside the Good Shepherd Lutheran
College and associated health, wellbeing and safety risks. Outcome O1 of the Noosaville
Locality Code states:
Uses are located, designed and operated to avoid significant adverse changes to the light, air
quality, noise, accessibility or other conditions enjoyed by users of associated, adjoining or
nearby uses.
