Attached to the e-mail Reconfiguration of a Lot (1 lot into 6) - RAL17/0501.
Bicycle lanes are currently provided beyond the traffic lanes on each sides of David Low Way across the site frontage. It is proposed that with the provision of the BAR and BAL treatments (ie widening the half carriageway to 6.5m), the bicycle lanes could share this pavement width (and not be in addition to it). This is considered acceptable given the very low vehicular turn volumes, the anticipated low bicycle volumes and compliant sight distances. A preliminary functional layout of the proposed access arrangements and turn treatments are included as an attachment in Appendix B.
