3.2      CONSERVATION SIGNIFICANT FLORA
         The majority of the development site is mapped as a high risk area for protected plants on the
         State government’s Protected Plants Flora Survey Trigger mapping (refer to Figure 9). The
         mapping extents reflect the regional ecosystem mapping and does not encompass the central
         area that has previous been subject to clearing. The extents of the dwelling footprint or the
         adjacent shed do not comprise a high risk area however the proposed clearing impact area
         associated with provision of an asset protection zone to satisfy the State’s assessment benchmark
         for new development adjacent to hazardous vegetation does extend into the mapped high risk
         area. Part of this clearing area nominated to protect the new development from bushfire is
         already covered by an exemption for an existing shed present on the land and situated between
         the proposed dwelling and new shed.

         The clearing area proposed to access the stockpiles south of the residential dwelling does not
         intersect the mapped area. The northern shed is located within the high risk area for protected
         plants.
