         Phascolarctos cinereus (koala) habitat includes both coastal and inland areas that are typically
         characterised by eucalypt forests and woodlands. The property is mapped as supporting core
         koala habitat and the central cleared area is mapped as koala restoration area. The land is not
         mapped within a mapped koala priority area (refer Figure 11). The proposed dwelling and large
         shed are located in the centre of the property which has previously been subject to clearing whilst
         the smaller shed proposed in the north is within mapped core koala habitat. The balance of the
         site is mapped as core koala habitat.

         No evidence of, or direct sightings of koalas or evidence of recent utilisation by koalas was noted
         during the site investigation (e.g. in the form of scratch marks or pellets), however historical
         records in the locality suggest that they may be present within the broader area. The site
         investigation concluded that the property comprises koala habitat trees, with the majority of the
         site supporting open eucalypt forest and woodland. Therefore, there is potential for koalas to be
         present in the area.
