Figure 6.14 Cross section showing 382 Tablelands Road and proposed monopole
Table 6-2 Assessment of Viewpoint 2a: View from 374 and 382 Tablelands Road
Description of the view These residences are generally orientated southwest towards Cooran and the Glass House
Mountains. The views from these properties would be filtered and enclosed by the surrounding
vegetation along Tablelands Road.
Description of the The proposal would be located approximately 800 metres to the southeast of these residences.
Proposal It is unlikely that the monopole would be seen above the intervening vegetation. If visible, the
proposal would comprise a small portion of the view due to the distance, screening effect of the
surrounding vegetation. The monopole would be located on the periphery of the main view, not
obstructing the focal points of the distant mountains. Refer Figure 6-12 and 6-14.
Visual Sensitivity This view has a neighbourhood visual sensitivity as it is located on a rural road and represents
views from a small group of rural dwellings.
Visual Modification The monopole would be absorbed into this view. If visible, it would comprise a small element on
a lower ridgeline in the background, set amongst vegetation. It would not be viewed in line with
the focal points of these views.
Overall, there would be no perceived change in the amenity of this view.
Level of Impact Negligible visual impact
