Table 6-5 Assessment of Viewpoint 4: View south from the Noosa Trail
Description of the Elevated view from a short section of the Noosa Trail approximately 1.4km from the site. View south
view to the valley floor and Mt Cooran.
Description of the The monopole would be located in low down in the view at a distance of 1.4km. The focal point of this
Proposal view is above the site towards the mountains and horizon. The lower section of the monopole would
be screened by surrounding vegetation and the upper section viewed above the vegetation but
against the vegetated backdrop of the distant ridges.
Construction activity would be mostly screened by the existing vegetation surrounding the site, any
tall machinery visible rising above the treeline would be seen against a backdrop of vegetation and
absorbed into the view.
Visual Sensitivity This view has a local visual sensitivity as while it is on the Noosa Trail Network (Trail 3: Kin Kin to
Cooran via Western Branch Road) this is an incidental view from an unformed section of the
pathway.
Visual The monopole would be small and indistinguishable at this distance. It would be seen against the
Modification backdrop of trees and rural properties and absorbed into the background of this view.
There would be a no perceived change in the amenity of the view.
Level of Impact Negligible visual impact
