          6.7      WASTE & HAZARDOUS MATERIAL MANAGEMENT
                               ▪    Drips and minor fuel/chemical spills are to be captured using ‘dry’ method spill kits (use absorbent materials not degreasers, detergent
                                    or hosing down) and disposed of appropriately at a waste disposal site.
                               ▪    Ensure there is a suitable number of spill kits for use throughout the project and in locations available for immediate use.
                               ▪    All equipment is to be well maintained, inspected frequently and free from fuel, oil, grease leaks.
                               ▪    No waste is to be burnt on site.
                               ▪    Visible waste is to be removed from site as soon as practicable.
                               ▪    Site workers using chemicals and/or fuel operated machinery should be trained in procedures to prevent soil and water contamination.

                               ▪    Under no circumstances are hazardous materials to be placed in an overland flow path or stormwater drain.

                                Weekly inspections should be carried out to check:
          Monitoring
                               ▪    Work practices are conducted in a manner to reduce waste and to manage and dispose of waste appropriately.

                               ▪    Work areas to ensure waste is being properly managed.
                               ▪    Waste levels in receptacles to determine when wastes require removal from site.

          Reporting

                                    Waste tracking records are to be maintained of all waste removed from the site, including disposed wastewater, and removed soil.
                                    Any spills or incidents are to be reported to the Site Foreman immediately.
                                ▪   Overflow of waste receptacles.
          Incidents
                                ▪   Migration of hazardous substances, including fuels, to stormwater drains.
                                If the results of monitoring indicate objectives are not met, the following shall be progressed:
          Corrective Actions
                                    ▪    Immediately remove any waste that has left the boundaries of the site.
                                    ▪    Immediately cease any non-compliant waste management practices.
