Parent anecdotal information – free text field within survey Would you like to provide any additional information? For question 4, whilst for Zara she could have possibly gained the skills eventually as I work in technology, having courses at the Hub has accelerated her acquisition of those skills and introduced her to others who share her interests, so the learning environment created at the Hub is unique and has been very beneficial. Holiday programs are great. I'd like to see more in school term programs run on weeknights. It was great to have students running the programme, as it felt much more relatable. Ben and Jacob are great guys as well. Extremely hard to find any courses like this anywhere else This is an amazing program and opportunity. We feel so lucky to have that part of the community. Many of my friends around Australia are very envious of this opportunity. I think this is a critical move forward for our children. The world they live in now and will live in in the future will be heavily reliant upon technology. This has inspired artistic, motivation, amazing new skills. My son is now coding and creating and designing and animating his own video game. He has made numerous friends and the students who teach at the hub are brilliant! Has given him Great insight to his future and career path. His little brother is just now getting involved and he has multiple friends in the community that also take part in these courses. The digital hub provides the opportunity for supportive development of skills in a challenging and organised way. For kids with a tech interest and abilities it gets them to think beyond gaming and social media to broad applications that can benefit their educational development and society into the future. Thank you Chris and Deidre. It's a great place to meet people with the same interests and help each other learn. Wish we had come across the Hub earlier. Our son really enjoyed it but he couldn't continue due to his senior studies this year. We think the Hub is a fantastic opportunity for young kids interested in the digital world on the coast. The number one subjects students wish to study at school is .. game design. Ironically access in Australia to quality tech learning is limited in educational settings. Jakob was prior to finding the Hub accessing AI education through tutors in the states and participating tech camps at The University of Singapore. 43
