Sunshine Beach Surf Life Saving Club #1966d1-B
Acoustic Report (Minor Change Application) 12 August 2025
• Consideration of the cumulative noise impacts at sensitive receptors due to amplified and
non-amplified entertainment noise, patron noise and mechanical plant noise.
3.4 Results & Recommended Limits
The results of assessment involved the recommendation of noise limits for the venue to avoid
‘unreasonable noise’ (as defined in Section 2.3) at the sensitive receptors.
Due to the size and complexity of the licensed premises, noise limits were set and conditioned to
external locations within 25 metres of the venue and in the direction of noise propagation towards
each of the sensitive receptors. These locations are denoted as ‘Close External Monitoring
Locations’ or ‘CEMLs’ as per OLGR terminology. The noise limits calculated at each of the CEMLs
are representative of worst-case cumulative noise emanating from the venue from: amplified
music noise, patron noise and mechanical plant noise. Aerial imagery indicating the locations of
each CEML, is reproduced from the report #1721d1-C below in Figure 3.
