It should be noted that the businesses along Duke Street (to the NW of the venue) and 2 Crank
Street were also initially considered as potentially affected premises. However, during the onsite
assessment (discussed further in Section 3) poor signal to noise ratio in these directions, due to
the reasons explained above, meant that noise measurements were not possible. This indicated
that at these distances and due to the orientation of the venue, these premises are unlikely to be
significantly affected by noise generated by the venue. In addition, should noise be controlled at
the affected premises identified in Figure 6 above, it is expected that noise levels would also be
suitably controlled at these premises due to distance separation and additional shielding from
other buildings or structures.
