Specifically the Boreen Point site connects to the Boreen Point North site which is located
approximately 1.4 km north west and on the same 106 ha property (Lot 2 on RP126723).
Figure 2.2 below, illustrates the proposed location of Boreen Point and Boreen Point North
facilities.

Figure 2.2: Location of Boreen Point North and Boreen Point Proposed Facilities (Source:Google Earth)

The proposed site has been designed specifically to provide service to the concentrated
residential settlement in Boreen Point, whereas the Boreen Point North facility is an
essential wireless hub site for the larger network as it can obtain line of site to the other
wireless facilities located further away where a 30 m monopole in the location of Boreen
Point cannot. Therefore the Boreen Point North facility (which will be provided in a
separate Development Application) not only provides wireless broadband services to
surrounding premises (specifically the scattered residential dwellings along Lake Flat
Road, Kildeys Road and Cootharaba Road) but is also a critical connection point for other
fixed wireless facilities located further away from the fibre network. In summary Boreen
Point North will enable data from both facilities at Boreen Point North and Boreen Point to
be relayed back to the fibre network via a chain of transmission dishes, as described
above.
