environmental impacts associated with the development. The subject site is not identified
as being located in an open space corridor and the specific location of th!3 facility is not
within existing native vegetation as outlined on Map 4 Open Space Networks. The
establishment of the monopole on the subject site will not affect the farming capabilities of
the site as it will occupy a relatively small lease area (80m2)of the total 106ha of land and
is located on the periphery outside the area of productive land. It is also located a
sufficient buffer distance from environmentally sensitive locations and no vegetation
removal is required.
For these reasons the proposal is considered to comply with the Overall Outcomes of the
Soreen Point, Kin Kin & Cootharaba Locality. Further compliance with the Specific
Outcomes and Probable Solutions is included in Appendix 4 Code Table Assessment.

Compliance
The propos d telecommunications facility is considered to be appropriately located in
order to provide the Soreen Point locality with essential communication services, whilst
mitigating potential visual and amenity impacts.
The introduction of fixed wireless coverage will enhance the community’s potential in
regard to economic and social growth by providing equitable high speed and reliable
internet and communications, not currently prOVided throughout rural areas. Fixed wireless
in the Soreen Point area will aid economic development through potentially increasing
business growth, increased education potential and opportunities for residents/farmers to
pursue supplementary incomes through alternative business’pursuits; ultimately improving
the long term sustainability of Soreen Point. Additionally, the introduction of a
Telecommunication Facility will create an ~pportunity for other carriers to co-locate.
