I refer to your recent correspondence requesting further traffic engineering advice for a
proposed development in Ridgewood, Cooroy. The information requested by the
Sunshine Coast Regional Council (SCRC)has been reviewed. The Information Request
dated 10th December 2012 is outlined below and a response has been provided.
7. Information requested
Further iriformation require on traffic movements and vehicle types.
Response
. The trip generation provided in Section 4.0 of the Traffic Engineering
Report (dated October 2012) has been provided based on an average trip
generation from the site over a 7 week cycle for all 13 sheds. The existing
site generates 75 vpd during peak picking season and truck trips are
included in Table 2 of the Traffic Engineering Report dated October 2012.
The new development generates 4 trips per day with 3 truck trips. There
are no staff trips in the new use as there is no requirement for staff during
the day, the manager lives on site and does not generate new trips as part
of this development.
. The trips shown in Table 3 are for all 13 sheds.
. The types of vehicles using the site are mostly semi-trailers with an
occasional B-double.
. There are no staff trips as the manager lives on site. An additional 2 trips
per week are estimated for maintenance. Deliveries for grain have been
included and it is not expected that the site will generate a significant
amount of other deliveries; this may be 1 or 2 trips per week.
. Waste from the poultry sheds will be used on site on the remaining
avocado orchard.
