Dear Sir/Madam,
RE: MCU12/0184 ERA12/0087, Poultry Farming at 136 Top Forestry Road
Ridgewood.
We are writing to respond to parts of the information request dated 10-12-12, other responses
.. are provided separately.
We have provided site plan 1209-01 and shed cross sections 1209-05 to 1209-08 inclusive to
assist with the application. Plans 1209-09 to 1209-17 inclusive are listed below in relation to
access.
5. Integrated Stormwater Management Plan
We enclose our Integrated Stormwater Management Plan to address this item.
6. Stormwater Impact Assessment and Site Based Stormwater Management Plan
We enclose our Integrated Stormwater Management Plan to address this item.
9. Access Driveways
(a)The extent of improvements at the site access intersection with Top Forestry Road is
shown on enclosed plan 1209-09.
As the entry/exit of large vehicles is only to the east the intersection angle has
been altered to obtain a minimum 1200 observation angle (Chapter 13 RPDM
Figure 13.69)to oncoming east bound traffic. Cars will be able to turn south west
along Top Forestry Road if required.
This re-alignment of the current intersection will improve sight visibility and
provide better delineation and priority between a minor existing access (the
minor access is also from the subject site).
Moving the access entry point west will also use up less of the bus stop area
than at present.
Sight visibility is acceptable. The western visibility of 108m exceeds the desirable
83m length for non-domestic access at 60km/h approach shown in Figure 3.2 of
AS2890.1. The eastern visibility of 78m exceeds the 69m desirable length for
non-domestic access at 50km/h approach shown in Figure 3.2 of AS2890.1
(westbound curve has a spot speed of 50km/h).
(b)The extent of improvements to access driveway from Top Forestry Road to proposed
sheds are shown on enclosed plans 1209-09, 1209-10, long sections 1209-14, 1209-15,
plus cross sections 1209-16 and 1209-17.
