SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 9 AUGUST 2016
3. STAFFING
Linda Wylie was appointed to the position of Team Leader Business Development early in the
financial year. Since commencing in this role Linda has added much value to the team and has
streamlined and improved several key processes and procedures. Linda’s hard work was a
significant contributor to the ease at which the team passed the recent CHSP audit. Linda’s
current challenge is to put the team in a strong position to handle any changes to current funding
models.
Aside from usual staff comings and goings there were no other staffing matters of significance to
report.
4. SYSTEMS, PROCESSES AND OTHER MATTERS
The refurbishment of the Respite Centre completed in September 2015 continues to draw
praise from staff, clients and visitors alike.
In the past few months the HAS team has moved to using the TRACCS database that is
currently used by the centre-based team. This means that one database is now used
across both NCS teams which allows for increased efficiencies in delivering services to
clients.
Internal policies and procedures have been reveiwed, approved and uploaded to the NCS
quality system, located within Council’s intranet. These documents will ensure compliance
with funding body requirements and will also ensure NCS continues to lead the way with
best practice processes.
A review of all operational forms and the centre’s operation manual will soon take place.
New signage has been applied to the NCS buses. As per Council’s brand manual, the NCS
branding is used in isolation of Council’s standard logo on these vehicles to help build
brand clarity and awareness. However as the photo below clearly illustrates the new
branding clearly acknowledges that Noosa Community Support is a Noosa Council Service.
The client workshop – aimed at offering a new activity to clients who struggle to connect
with more traditional centre-based activities – has recently been completed and is in the
process of piloting some sessions before officially launching in the near future. See below
