SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 9 AUGUST 2016
FUTURE DIRECTION
A service review of NLC has commenced and is expected to be completed by November.
Work has commenced on establishing a new retail area at NLC within the refurbished
reception area. A variety of items will soon be available for purchase.
The NLC Coordinator will work with resident NLC club, the Noosa District Basketball
Association (NDBA), in pursuing mutually beneficial grant opportunities.
Operational hours for the crèche will be condensed from 22 August 2016 (in line with the
previously considered budget initiative), leading to financial savings of $21,553.
A number of capital works projects have been approved for 2016/17, including the
installation of energy efficient stadium lights, cooling fans for the stadium, an external
storage shed, a new stadium floor scrubber, and repairs to the café floor tiles. The NLC
Coordinator is currently preparing a schedule to ensure all works are completed on time.
As indicated earlier in the report, signage is soon to be upgraded in both the café and
reception areas.
