Existing Resource Recovery Centre
The existing resource recovery centre is located at 561 Eumundi-Noosa Road, Doonan with direct access off the State
Controlled Road. The existing facility is serviced by a channelised intersection consisting of channelised right and left
turn lanes into the development as shown in Figure 1.

Figure 1: Existing Site Entry – Eumundi-Noosa Road (Source: Nearmap 21 January 2025)

Incoming vehicles access the existing weighbridge located approximately 160 m into the site from the State Controlled
Road entry.

It is understood current operations of the site do not suitably separate public access and vehicles from the movement
of commercial waste vehicles or provide the high-level of resource recovery proposed by the site redevelopment.

Proposed Site Layout
Several operational and infrastructure location amendments are proposed for the Resource Recovery Redevelopment,
these changes are primarily to provide the following use and safety improvements:

• Separation of public vehicles from internal waste operations as much as practicable.

• Provide greater separation from the State Controlled Road site entry to the public weighbridge, providing greater
on-site vehicle capacity and removing potential impacts on the State Controlled Road.

• Provide an improved Reviva Centre, separate from the resource recovery activities with suitable vehicle
    circulation, parking and set-down / pick-up zone.

• Provide a gated Cleanaway Depot for the daily operation and maintenance requirements of the Cleanaway fleet
    separated from public interaction.

• Provide a Resource Recovery Centre capable of meeting the requirements of current and future waste demands,
    material sorting and segregation.

• Retain the existing resource recovery station for internal waste use and future applications.

The proposed redevelopment layout is reflected in Figure 2 below, further information can be found in the Covey
Associates Preliminary Engineering plans.
