PLANNING & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 7 FEBRUARY 2023 REPORT 1. PROPOSAL This application seeks approval to partially retain the existing single storey building at 214 David Low Way, Peregian Beach, renovate it and construct a new upper floor. Two of the existing shop tenancies are to be retained as shops with the remaining three converted into a food and drink outlet. A new upper floor is proposed over the existing level accessed by a central lobby and stairwell and will include 2 new tenancies for offices and a food and drink outlet. The building design provides an awning at the first floor around the eastern, western and southern facades, which is similar to the existing awning on site and surrounding buildings. The plans detail a number of features including: • Walls – rendered concrete • Upper and lower awnings – timber cladding • Central timber pergola • Anodised aluminium shopfront windows • Timber cladding and anodised aluminium windows to ground floor eastern elevation (facing the village square) • Upper floor open deck overlooking the village square.
