    1. INTRODUCTION
This Bushfire Emergency Response Plan (BERP) has been designed to assist management
to protect life and property in the event of a bushfire or a pending bushfire on the site, formally
described as part of Lot 4 on RP160124, located at 658 Louis Bazzo Dr, Ringtail Creek QLD.
The site is the subject of a proposed Material Change of Use development application to be
submitted to Noosa Shire Council (NSC)
The applicant is seeking to secure a Material Change of Use (MCU) permit for a wedding
venue inclusive of a wedding marquee and associated infrastructure. The Plan of Development
shows the location of marquee and access routes.
The BERP aims to establish pre-planning guidelines for an evacuation of the premises where
there is a need to relocate personnel from one place to another to enhance the protection of
those people. This evacuation plan forms part of a more comprehensive report undertaken
over the subject area; Bushfire Hazard Assessment & Management Plan v2 2024 by North
Coast Environmental Services. The application of this evacuation plan does not specifically
require reference to the above document; however, it is recommended both documents be
stored together.
The proposed development will increase the number of people within the site. The decision to
enact a bushfire evacuation is generally a managerial decision (unless otherwise stated within
this plan) until the point that an official evacuation recommendation is issued by QFES and/or
QLD Police.
Response ‘triggers’ which initiate emergency actions on the site have been specified in Section
10.
Given the size and use of the proposed development, it is envisaged that during a bushfire
emergency the nominated chief fire warden will be able to communicate with all guests directly
via the inhouse PA system.
QFES currently offer advice via Twitter, Facebook, QLD Police and local radio stations. The
current QFES warning / evacuation categories are shown in Plate 1.
