   3. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CHIEF FIRE WARDEN
      Ascertain the nature of the emergency and determine appropriate action.
      Once notified of the possibility of a fire, ascertain the nature of the emergency and
       determine appropriate action to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
      Ensure that the appropriate emergency service has been notified.
      Go to the designated assembly site and take charge.
      Check on progress of movement of guests and staff.
      Allocate any extra staff required to assist in any searches for missing guests and staff.
      Instruct the management team where additional staff are required for supervisory or
       support duties.
      Liaise with Emergency Services personnel.

     4. GUEST REGISTER SYSTEM
The Guest Register System (GRS) will form an integral management measure to address the
bushfire safety preparedness on the site. The GRS will hold records for the contact details of
all attending guests. The GRS will be utilised to send text messages or similar informing both
checked-in and un-checked-in guests of any bushfire emergency provisions that have been
enacted on the site which may impact their stay. This will include advising guests of the
Bushfire Evacuation Response Protocol status of the site on any given day when the Bushfire
Evacuation Response Protocols are triggered (refer Section 10), which will be a function of the
daily and projected Fire Behaviour Index and the presence vs. absence of an uncontrolled fire
in the Fire Risk Catchment.
The remote setting of the site is noted however cell phone connectivity was available on the
Telstra network during the hazard assessment fieldwork hence is expected to be readily
available during events.
