Determination of the most suitable evacuation route for a specific fire event should be made
with consideration to the location of the fire front and the relevant advice issued by QFES
and/or QPS. Given the extent of hazardous vegetation in the vicinity of the site and along the
available evacuation route, the decision to evacuate the site must be made very early to ensure
enough time is available to safely transit to township of Pomona or Tewantin, or the safe
location designated by QFES and/or QPS.
