1 Finalise drafting of new Noosa Planning Scheme and obtain Planning Scheme Project Manager Council resolved to prepare the Scheme under the Planning Act on 16 On track Q
Queensland Government approval November 2017. Bulk of the drafting has been completed with a few final
issues being workshopped with Councillors. Zoning maps, overlay maps
and higher order Strategic Framework maps all being finalised. Urban
design consultancy work nearing completion. Draft Retail Needs Analysis
received to help with centres. Intention to present a draft scheme to
Council before end March 2018.
2 Develop Climate Change Adaptation Plan & actions (Stage 1) Project Coordinator - Climate Change Coastal hazards adaptation plan project on schedule. Risk mitigation On track @
Adaptation options analysis being paused to allow appropriate time for stakeholder
engagement. This will have no effect on the final delivery date of the plan
in late 2018.
