PLANNING & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 11 APRIL 2017
The submission, based on the recommendations contained in attachment 3, would uphold
Council’s ongoing commitment to conservation and sustainability within the Noosa Biosphere
Reserve and seeks that the Department reject Eco Camp Pty Ltd’s application to downgrade 2.6
hectares of declared Fish Habitat Area at Elanda Point from a management A area to a
management B area.

That Council note the report by the Property Advisor to the General Committee Meeting dated 16
January 2017 and refuse the Discovery Group’s request for Council to be the applicant for
construction of a new public/commercial jetty at the Elanda Point Education and Adventure Park,
and note that other State agencies may be more appropriate as the applicant.
