Acknowledgement
This could not have been achieved without an incredible amount of hard work and commitment
by our Mayor, Councillors, Directors, Managers and all of our staff.
There is rightly a real sense of pride with what we have achieved in the last year, and indeed our
last 4 ½ years. I can’t speak more highly of our staff. It is only through them that we have been
able to achieve such good outcomes.
We can’t rest on our laurels. There is always more to do. The key areas of focus in 2018/19 as
part of our ongoing journey include:
Implementation of our Transport Strategy;
Finalisation of the remaining detailed Asset Management Plans;
Finalisation of our Environment Strategy;
Pursuing the State Government on Beckmans Road;
Initiation of the Cooroy Hinterland Park project
Successful completion of some high profile projects (e.g. Boardwalk, Noosaville Library etc)
Ongoing management of the Sustainable Tourism Stakeholder Reference Group
