                 3. Environmental Restoration Plan

                      3.1 Management Zones
The ecological condition of the Rehabilitation Area is variable and has been divided into three
management zones, each of which has its own management objective. These management
zones are summarised in Table 1.

C Native-dominated regrowth Assisted regeneration consisting of 1380
                                                                               understory weed management and
                                                                               occasional infill planting

The location of the management zones is shown in Figure 5 – Weed Management and
                 Planting Plan.

Proposed rehabilitation works will be undertaken in stages over an 18-month period between
January 2025 and June 2026 and will be undertaken in such as a way as to minimise impacts
to fauna from structural changes and habitat disturbance. Removal of large camphor laurels
will not be carried out during drought conditions to reduce the risk of desiccation and
                 minimise plant stress.

                      3.2 Site Preparation
The cleared area east of the driveway will be prepared for planting by spot spraying with
herbicide (1% foliar application of Glyphosate 360) to remove existing grass competition three
                 weeks prior to planting.

                      3.3 Weed Management

                      3.3.1 Initial Weed Control
To manage the Restricted Invasive Plants (Biosecurity Act 2014 Schedule 1, Part 3), the
undesirable species (PSP03 – Landscaping); and the non-scheduled invasive plants (Noosa
Council Biosecurity Plan 2020), the methods described in Table 2 – Weed Management
Methods are recommended. Targeted methods for each weed species are listed in Appendix
                 D.
