Attached to the e-mail MCU15/0095 & REC15/0022 PM Submissions Object - Petition - Various.
Overall outcomes
73. An overall outcome sought for the Business Code (Part 14, Noosa Plan, section 14.11.2
b)viii) is that:
Business Uses meet the needs and expectations of the Noosa community in terms of
providing logical traffic arrangements without congestion or lengthy delays.
74. The DA will significantly increase the traffic on the Eumundi Noosa Road, the
roundabout outside GSLC and pedestrians (predominantly children) on the footpath
entrance, in the event of queuing to access the proposed site, causing traffic
congestion. Additionally, the stationary traffic backing up along Goodchap Street will
also have a potentially harmful effect on the flow of vehicles accessing the Noosa
Hospital, including emergency vehicles.
75. The applicant has provided no objective analysis of the likely queuing frequency or the
extent of this.
Specific outcomes
76. The DA does not achieve the specific outcomes relating to Service Stations for the
Business Uses Code (Part 14 of the Noosa Plan, section 14.12) as set out in the Table
below.
