ADG Consulting Pty Ltd While this report has not been generated for the purpose of assessing compliance with the requirements of workplace health and safety legislation, it is noted that a person conducting a business or undertaking must ensure that workers are not exposed to noise that exceeds the exposure standard for noise. The exposure standard for noise is defined in the Work Health & Safety Regulation 2011 (QLD) as LAeq,8h of 85 dB(A) or an LC,peak of 140 dB(C). As such, it is considered appropriate to adopt these exposure standards to assess average and peak noise generated at the site with the potential to affect exposure levels of nearby sensitive receptors (noting there will be some attenuation between source and receptors and actual noise experienced by receptors would need to be measured at the receptor location). 7.6 Reporting The Site Manager must keep records of complaints, monitoring records (including continuous noise monitoring data, where required to be monitored), and corrective and preventive actions/methods employed for noise abatement. These records must be available on-site at all times and submitted to NSC by the Site Manager upon request. 7.7 Contingencies If noise levels consistently exceed the performance criteria, temporary acoustic barriers will be constructed around the offending dewatering systems and plant. Odour control sprays will be applied as necessary to mask odour emissions if complaints are received from neighbouring residents. This may include the direct injection of deodorisers to the groundwater treatment system. ADG1786.25 Dewatering Management Plan_Rev1_07.10.25 Page 19
