Potential Bushfire Hazard Class High
1 – the VHC 22.1-Melaleuca open forests on seasonally inundated lowland coastal swamps was used because
2 – the Potential fuel load is attributed with a potential fuel load by the State Government as part of the Leonard et. al.
(2014) methodology.
3 – the FFDI for the area is determined by the State Government as part of the Leonard et. al. (2014) methodology.

 We also acknowledge that while the Lomandra Place Bushland Reserve is an area of low bushfire
hazard, it may become involved in a bushfire event and as such needs to achieve a separation from that
vegetation necessary to achieve the radiant heat flux of 19kW/m2.
 Table 3 provides the outputs for potential setbacks from the retained vegetation. We acknowledge the
age and vulnerability of the residents using the proposed development and recommend that the setback
should achieve a lower radiant heat level than necessary for the residents.

Emergency Management plan

Noosa Care – Carramar has two Emergency Response documents which informs and guide the management’s
response in the advent of an emergency within and around the Carrama Care facility and which includes a
bushfire event. These documents are: -
