Finance
Financial surplus from Noosa Holiday Parks is used to offset general rate increases otherwise
required to fund non-revenue generating Council activities and programs. Council meets its
ongoing financial sustainability policy objectives by ensuring that the Noosa Holiday Parks
business activity meets its full cost recovery obligations.

Risks & Opportunities
Risks
• Following reopening of Australian state borders and subsequent inter-state travel, there is
an ongoing possibility that localised or intra-operation hotspots or clusters will occur,
potentially requiring the implementation of Covid-safe control measures such as temporary
reduced occupancy. Decisions to introduce risk control measures will be guided by the
Queensland Health directives and the State Government.
• Reduced profitability as a result of Covid-19 impacts will be reported to Council.

Opportunities
• Continued review of the operating model at Noosa River Holiday Park to determine the
optimal future contracting and tenure approach.
• Contribution to Council’s sustainability objectives through the introduction of on-charging for
electricity at Noosa River Holiday Park in late 2022.
• Ongoing improvement focus on future-proofing to safeguard commercial activity and
    business activity outcomes.
