MCU16/0012 Attach C- Traffic Report
28 June 2016 Saunders Havill Group 9 Thompson St Bowen Hills Qd 4006 Attention: Eddie Venturini Dear Eddie, RE: 5 GARNET STREET, COOROY INFORMATION REQUEST RESPONSE – TRAFFIC ISSUES As requested, we have reviewed Noosa Council’s Information Request (IR) dated 15 March 2016 and prepared this response to the traffic engineering related issues (Items 11 to 17). In preparing this response, we have: liaised with the project architect to modify the proposed servicing arrangements from Wimmers Lane prepared the attached computer generated swept path drawings Accordingly, we are of the opinion that the Items 11 to 17 raised in Council’s IR have been addressed in the latest plans (Revision K) of development dated 22 June 2016 (attached). ITEM 11 AND 12: SERVICING The revised plans provide three separate loading bays as follows: HRV bay – accessed via Wimmers Lane MRV bay – accessed via Wimmers Lane VAN bay – accessed via Garnet Street The HRV and MRV bays on Wimmers Lane operate independently of each other in that a vehicle can enter and exit each bay while there is another vehicle standing in the adjacent bay. This is demonstrated in Figure 1 and the attached SK001. A rollover kerb would be required along most of the Wimmers Lane frontage as shown in Figure 1. In addition, a VAN bay is located in close proximity to the store entrance at ground floor level as shown in the revised plans. p:\2014-15\15-228 garnet street, cooroy\reports\15-228 rfi response.docx 1/4
