PLANNING & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 11 JUNE 2019

Under the policy a revolving fund can be achieved in a number of ways:
 Sell entire land parcel: Purchase land and on-sell entire parcel with Nature Refuge (except
     for the house site area).
 Boundary re-alignment: If Council owns or purchases a neighbouring parcel a boundary re-
alignment can be undertaken and the low value biodiversity land parcel on-sold.
 Sub-division for park purposes: Under advice from the Department of State Development,
Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning, a subdivision for one extra lot for park
purposes is allowable under the SEQ Regional Plan within the Regional Landscape and
Rural Production Area, as long as public access to the park is allowed to continue free of
     charge.
There are currently 2 parcels of land purchased through the Environment Levy that could be
considered eligible for application of the revolving fund policy guideline.
1. Cooloothin Creek Bushland Reserve, 26 Riverpark Drive, Ringtail Creek, 25SP104706
     (106ha)
25SP104706 is pending Nature Refuge dedication. A portion of the land has been excluded from
the Nature Refuge area but since acquisition in 2015 there has been substantial regrowth. Any of
the revolving fund models may be suitable for this parcel and advantages and disadvantages
require further investigation through the development of a detailed business case.
