Crackerjack - Other Change Planning Report
3.5 Adjoining Land Uses Crackerjack is committed to being a responsible and considerate venue and has become aware of recent grievances made by adjacent residential properties along the eastern boundary with respect to the potential noise impacts. Whilst the “outdoor seating area” and therefore associated use and noise was identified by Council in the Planning and Environment Committee Meeting Report 7 March 2017 (MCU16/0117) prior to approval and construction of the adjacent residential use; Crackerjack is exploring various strategies to minimise the perceived noise disruption. The aforementioned Acoustic report (Appendix B) has informed the nature of this proposed Other Change. The relocation of the outdoor dining area from the eastern courtyard to the bowlers’ refreshment area identified within the proposed plans (Appendix A) will reduce the potential for noise disruption to the adjacent residential properties. By shifting the dining area to the western side, Crackerjack aims to mitigate the perceived noise impact while also improving the functionality of the bowls club’s facilities.
