The clearing is approximately 35m to the south of the
Council’s overlay mapped waterway and 30m south of the
mapped riparian buffer.
The clearing does not occur in a riparian buffer area or 10
metres either side of the centre line of a waterway.
However, the clearing does result in clearing a wetland area
– up to 1.02ha. This wetland is degraded due to the
infestation of Singapore Daisy accounting for over 50% of the
groundlayer species.
It is proposed to mitigate this loss of wetland area to:
• Undertake weed management in the retained
vegetation in accordance with a Weed Management
Plan to ensure edge effects and on-site values are
improved for the retained wetland areas, vegetation
and waterways on site.
• Rehabiltation of 1.8ha land which includes a wetland
area with a constructed riparian drainage line.
PO7 No acceptable outcome provided. N/A
Vegetation within 400 metres of the full
ponded water within Lake
Macdonald is retained.
