Waste Management Plan QET
Plans and drawings: the text below has words only, no drawings.
• Waste stored in designated bins and skip containers • Clear separation between general waste and recyclable materials • Bins maintained in accessible and safe locations • Waste storage areas kept clean and free from obstruction • StaR encouraged to minimise waste and maximise recycling 6. Waste Collection Waste collection will continue to occur through existing waste service providers. Current collection arrangements: Waste Type Bin Size Quantity Collection Frequency General Waste 240 L 4 bins Regular collection Recycling 240 L 2 bins Regular collection Bulk Waste (Skip Bin) 2 m² 1 Fortnightly The 2 m² skip bin, which provides the equivalent capacity of approximately eight 240 L general waste bins, provides significant additional waste capacity. If waste volumes were to increase slightly in the future, the skip bin collection frequency can be increased from fortnightly to weekly, ensuring suRicient waste management capacity without requiring additional infrastructure. 7. Waste Minimisation Measures The site will continue to implement waste minimisation practices including: • Encouraging recycling of cardboard, paper, plastics, and containers • Reducing unnecessary packaging where possible • Reusing materials where practical • Maintaining clearly labelled recycling bins These measures aim to reduce landfill waste and improve overall waste management outcomes.
