ORDINARY MEETING AGENDA 30 APRIL 2020
Pros
e Well understood by existing Councillors and staff due to its historic use at Noosa Council.
° The two initial Standing Committees allow for very informal discussion which is a good learning
ground for staff and Councillors.
e The General Committee deals with major matters/controversial issues allowing all Councillors
to have input into those important matters before a final decision is made by the Council.
e Allows time for further information to be provided to the General Committee or Council Ordinary
Meeting if required.
Cons
e In the post COVID-19 environment, there may not be as many reports to Council resulting in
fewer reports to the initial two Committees.
e Not all Councillors address all issues at a Committee level before the matter comes to Council.
° The majority of items may end up being referred to the General Committee so all Councillors
can have input which almost negates the need to have the smaller Committees.
