7.0 CONCLUSION

This Development Assessment Report has been prepared on behalf of Good Shepherd Lutheran
College to support a Development Application for Material Change of Use for Education Type 2
School (School carpark) in respect of land at Eumundi Noosa Road, Noosaville, described as Lot
30 on SP170751.

The site is included under the Noosa Plan 2006 within the Noosaville Locality and the Industry
Zone.

This report demonstrates the proposals compliance with the applicable state and local planning
provisions, including the following grounds:

   The proposed carpark is for school use associated with the adjoining Good Shepherd
    Lutheran College.
   The site, while zoned Industry, is an isolated land parcel, adjoining an existing school and
    somewhat separated from the surrounding industrial area. The proximity to Good Shepherd
    Lutheran College restricts the industrial usage of the site.
   The use of the site for a school carpark will not detrimentally diminish the industrial land
    supply, given the existing restrictive nature of the site.
   The proposed use as a carpark for the school provides an appropriate outcome for the site
    that complements the existing land use pattern.

Approval of the proposed School carpark is warranted.
