5.0    STORMWATER MANAGEMENT



5.1    Legal Point of Discharge


Approved development works for the Golf Resort and Spa included an internal drainage network
designed and constructed to convey stormwater runoff from the site to a tributary of Lake Weyba
(legal point of discharge) via a series of constructed waterbodies.


It is proposed to utilise the existing internal drainage network where possible. Upgrades to this
network will be undertaken as required. It is also proposed to direct development site stormwater
to the existing constructed waterbodies and proposed rainwater tanks, which provide a source of
harvested stormwater for irrigation of the Noosa Springs Golf Course and topping up of new pools.



5.2    Flooding


A copy of the Flood Map for the site, produced using Noosa Council’s Online Mapping Portal, is
included as Appendix C. The attached flood map indicates that the site is free from inundation by
the extreme (500 year) and major (100 year) flood events and the highest astronomical tide.


A flood immune fill platform has been provided for the total development site. Additional flood
immunity will be provided by proposed building pads and concrete slabs.
